Project/Event Director

£13,000 p.a. + Annual Bonus
18 months contract with probability of further extension
OTGI is looking for a strong professional project/event director for its spectacular events in 2007. The post will suit Project Management professionals who are interested in culture exchange or Martial Art professionals who have strong technical ability in Events organizing.
Reporting to the Headtecher and Executives of OTGI, the employed person will work with a professional team of experts who are specialised in promotion and consultancy of China Culture and Martial Art. As the project leader you will have a unique opportunities to play a key role in the development of our exciting Tai Chi and Kung Fu events including Kung Fu Kids Movie Star Competition, Tai Chi 1,000 people action and Tai Chi and Kung Fu show – UK Tour 2007 which forms part of Oxfordshire’s Millennium celebrations in 2007. You will also be responsible to funding application and sponsorships for these projects and related commercial activities.
Other responsibilities may include improving management and maintenance of the current OTGI business development and marketing.
You should be
- Effective project management and excellent communication skills
- 3 year or more professional experiences in Business Management
- Fluent in both spoken and written English and Chinese Mandarin
- A track record of successfully developing and delivering a range of cultural projects
Ability to work in a professional manner and work under pressure is required.
The appointees could have opportunity to be involved in the Oxford Taiji Gongfu Institute’s new branches development. Further opportunity of employment may come available.
